Here come the boys: team edie expands

The edie editorial crew is delighted to welcome two new members to the team to strengthen our coverage of the fast-moving sustainability agenda.

Leigh Stringer joins as edie’s new energy and sustainability editor with key responsibility for the energy and sustainability channels. His remit will be to deliver the latest news and analysis in this field.

Stringer previously was news editor at Icis, the petrochemicals newswire. Commenting on his new role, he said: “I am delighted to have joined such a well-established, professional team who have the knowledge and skills to provide businesses with up-to-date, informative news and information on sustainability.

“Through edie, I am looking forward to immersing myself in the sector and making an impact on people’s awareness of how sustainability affects every aspect of business”.

Meanwhile Conor McGlone is edie’s new reporter and will be working across our four main channels covering energy, sustainability, waste and water news.

McGlone is nearing completion of his masters in journalism at Kingston University and very excited about getting stuck into such a dynamic sector.

“It is a new and fascinating area for me,” said McGlone. “It is proving a pleasure to come to grips with such a mammoth and important subject area – my new colleagues at edie really know what they are talking about.”
